Oral History Project Starting

The Eliot Neighborhood Association and Boise-Eliot School are about to begin the Eliot Oral History Project!  This project will bring Boise-Eliot middle school students together with Eliot residents to listen and record their stories and piece together an oral history and walking tours of the neighborhood.

The interviews will start this month and the neighborhood association is looking for people to talk to.  If you or someone you know would like to be interviewed, please contact Laurie Simpson at laurie@mosiarch.com.

The Northeast Coalition of Neighborhoods is a proud sponsor of the Eliot
Oral History Project.

  1. Hi Laurie,
My name is Emily Jameson, I’m a friend of Apricot Irving and she suggested that I get in touch with you regarding your Oral History Project with the Boise-Eliot school.
I’m currently completing my Master’s in Urban Studies and Community Development. My focus has been on digital storytelling and some of its applications, specifically in Storymapping. I’m a trained Digital Storyteller, and completed an internship at the Center for Digital Storytelling in Berkeley, CA.
My thesis is on creating a Field Guide for Storymapping projects. I’d love to help out with this project/talk to you about your approach to it/ and just meet you!
Please let me know if you are interested.
