With two Eliot Neighborhood cleanup events this month May is unofficially “Clean up Eliot Neighborhood Month.”
May 12th is the annual Spring Cleanup . Eliot residents are encouraged to get out in the yard, on the porch, around the house, on the street and anywhere else and cleanup old junk that is long over due for a trip to the dump. Take it to the parking lot on Graham and Vancouver and for a small fee you can leave it.
On May 19th the Portland Office of Neighborhood Involvement will host the Graffiti Paint Out Collaborative Cleanup. Eliot volunteers along with Youth Employment Institute and Goodbye Graffiti crews will remove Graffiti around Eliot. Help ONI Graffiti Abatement Services cleanup the neighborhood!
Throughout the month, while out in the neighborhood, pick up some littler. Odds are you’ll find a trash can somewhere between where you are and your final destination.
