At the Eliot Neighborhood Fall General Membership meeting October 8th it was announced the Backbridge Lofts and Backbridge Station projects are on hold.

Kirsten Jenkins reported that Ben Kaiser has placed the two neighborhood projects on hold for up to 3 years.

Sketches for the Backbridge developments were published in the Eliot News Vol 15 Num 1 (Winter 2006) issue. The Backbridge Lofts project was to be built on the vacant lot on the east side of Williams between Freemont and Ivy. Backbridge Station was to be built just north of Eliot on the north side of Freemont between Williams and Vancouver.

Recently, the interesting and informative light green signs on both lots have been taken down.
