“Know your board” is a series of articles to help you get to know the members of your Eliot Neighborhood Association Board.
Patricia Montgomery is a native Oregonian and has lived in Eliot for 26 years. Her favorite things about the neighborhood are the accessibility to the city, the diversity of the neighborhood and the sense of a caring community.
Patricia is self-employed as a transportation provider and consultant so if anyone needs a ride somewhere, be sure to give her a call. When she’s not working she volunteers at her church, St. Philip the Deacon, at NE Rodney and Knott. She assists with the the Saturday community lunch program and also the youth group.
When she is not driving or working at her church Patricia loves to swim, play tennis and also basketball. St. Philip is now the meeting place for both the Land Use and Transportation Committee meetings as well as our Eliot Neighborhood Association meetings. One of the reasons she volunteers on the board is so that her church would have a voice in the community and also because she lives in the neighborhood and wanted to stay informed and be a part of the changing community.
