The Northeast Coalition of Neighborhoods (NECN) is fully staffed and there for you! The goal is to help neighborhoods collaborate to improve the quality and effectiveness of services to the neighborhoods.  The coalition serves 12 neighborhoods in the inner N/NE Portland area – including Eliot.

NECN provides a range of services to neighborhoods, residents, and community groups. They provide support through Information and resource referral, technical support, educational and community events, and community project incubation and support (through project grants and fiscal sponsorship). They serve as a gathering place and outreach service provider, connecting community members to resources from agencies and organizations. NECN also provides opportunities for idea sharing/collaborating among and across neighborhoods. They encourage anyone to get involved and become an active part of their neighborhood – check out necoalition.org to see what projects have been funded, issues taken on, and how you can get involved.
