The final phase of The ReBuilding Center of Our United Villages expansion project is complete. This green office remodel is a source of inspiration for anyone considering sustainable alternatives to construction and/or remodeling. See it at the Tenth Year Anniversary and Open House.
Be one of the first people to see the office built with 90% recycled content – the most reuse in a tenant improvement of its size in the nation! The entire office is built with creative reused building materials: office dividers made of reclaimed house parts, light fixtures made from skylights, shingles made from ducting, wallpaper made out of doors, flooring from solid core doors. Other sustainable features include triple glazed windows, a community meeting space, day lighting, and used furnishings.
In 1997, Our United Villages was formally founded as a non-profit organization, and launched its project, The ReBuilding Center in 1998. Celebrate the tenth anniversary and new offices on Saturday, October 13th from 9:00am-6:00pm at 3625 N Mississippi Avenue in Portland. The green office remodel will be open to the public for viewing.
