Thanks to all the hard work of volunteers and generous donations, the annual Eliot clean-up was a success. We removed over 10 tons of debris from the neighborhood, plus a few more tons of scrap metal that were recycled. We also raised about $500, to be used to help fund neighborhood events such as the Dawson Park concerts.
Since 1925, Dawson Park has been at the core of this cuturally diverse community. Over the years, the neighborhood has changed and grown, as has the role of the park. Portland Parks needs your input on new design options that best meet the needs of the community today!
The Eliot Neighborhood Spring Cleanup is Saturday May 15th. Do you have a truck? Can you spare a few hours helping neighbors clean up?
At the Eliot Neighborhood April General Membership Meeting concert planners Tamille Lundmark and Pamela Weatherspoon announced the concert schedule. Dawson Park will host 4 concerts this season – every Wednesday evening in July.
