Move to accept Feb Meeting minutes (5 min)

New business

  • IURBAN, projects for underrepresented youth in the community presentation (15 min)
  • Portland Parks liaison Karen Guillen-Chapman (karen.guillen-chapman@ portlandoregon.gov) and the president of Good in the Hood Shawn Penney (shawnpenney@goodnthehood.org) requesting ENA donate park permit to Good in the Hood this year. (10 min)
  • What do we want for our neighborhood and how will we be involved? Community Conversations around 4 main categories: (30-40 min)
    1. Community & Safety, e.g., clean air, parking, Neighborhood Watch program, etc
    2. Development & Change, e.g.,zoning, bikeway, new homes and businesses, youth opportunities etc
    3. Community Engagement, e.g.,music, activities, concerts, etc
    4. Pride and Identity, e.g.,adopt-a-block, Ivy diverter landscaping, murals, intersection painting, etc
      Everyone is invited to join a conversation of their choice. Groups will be asked to record ideas and make a brief presentation to the whole group after a 20-30 min discussion

Announcements:

  • The City of Portland’s Cannabis Program is requesting applicants for the 2017-18 Cannabis Policy Oversight Team (CPOT). CPOT is the City of Portland’s cannabis policy advisory group made up of community members, cannabis industry members, and health officials (among other stakeholders). CPOT facilitates discussion about cannabis policy to ensure that Portland’s cannabis regulations are fair for businesses, maintain the safety and livability of our neighborhoods, and reflect Portland’s values.
