Land Use—Mike Warwick

  • Every 20 years the city must complete a comprehensive rezoning plan
  • How do we preserve the historic quality in Eliot
  • We are a historic conservation district
  • We are proposing to change our zoning from R2 to R2.5—meaning we will be down zoning
  • We also would like to get rid of the residential zoning along Martin Luther King and get rid of the zone EX along Vancouver and Williams so you cannot build 8 story buildings there

Cleanup Committee—Alan Sanchez

  • Waiting to hear back from the hospital  about whether we can use their lot
  • Collaboration with the ReBuilding Center, SCRAP and Community Warehouse possibly
  • We need volunteers—it will be fun!
  • Maybe move the time back a bit so people who attend church have time to run home and grab things
  • Yard Sale

Identity Committee—Alise Munson

Alise would like to know who else might be interested in joining her to help with re-establishing the identity of the neighborhood
