Committee Updates
Land Use—Mike Warwick
- Every 20 years the city must complete a comprehensive rezoning plan
- How do we preserve the historic quality in Eliot
- We are a historic conservation district
- We are proposing to change our zoning from R2 to R2.5—meaning we will be down zoning
- We also would like to get rid of the residential zoning along Martin Luther King and get rid of the zone EX along Vancouver and Williams so you cannot build 8 story buildings there
Cleanup Committee—Alan Sanchez
- Waiting to hear back from the hospital about whether we can use their lot
- Collaboration with the ReBuilding Center, SCRAP and Community Warehouse possibly
- We need volunteers—it will be fun!
- Maybe move the time back a bit so people who attend church have time to run home and grab things
- Yard Sale
Identity Committee—Alise Munson
Alise would like to know who else might be interested in joining her to help with re-establishing the identity of the neighborhood
