Neighborhood Collaborative Graffiti Cleanup

On Saturday September 25th the Eliot Neighborhood Association and the City of Portland Office of Neighborhood Involvement Graffiti Abatement Program teamed up to make a difference in Eliot.  Residents from the neighborhood along with volunteers from Volunteers of America and Portland State University met at the corner of Graham and MLK to cleanup Graffiti.

Volunteer to Clean Graffiti!

Are you tired of looking at the graffiti in the neighborhood?  If so, do something about it! The Eliot Neighborhood Association in partnership with the City of Portland Office of Neighborhood Involvement Graffiti Abatement program is cleaning up graffiti in Eliot on Saturday September 25th. Show up at 8:30 AM at Dreamers Marketplace, 2737 NE Martin Luther King, ready to help.  Coffee from Goldrush Coffee Bar and light refreshments will be provided.  The Graffiti Abatement program will supply cleaning materials.

Spring Cleanup 2009

The Eliot Neighborhood Spring Cleanup is Saturday May 16 from 9 am to 1 pm.  Bring your old furniture, debris, junk, yard debris, lumber, and metal.  Please separate materials. Bicycles and bike parts can be dropped off for free.

The spring cleanup is a sustainable event.  Metal recyclers are on hand to collect metal.  Yard debris and lumber is eventually turned into compost.  Use bicycles are donated and if needed repaired for re use.

Neighborhood Graffiti Cleanup

On Saturday March 21 volunteers from the neighborhood joined the City of Portland Graffiti Abatement Program to cleanup graffiti in Eliot Neighborhood.   Coffee and donuts were waiting for volunteers as they showed up at the meeting place on the corner of Williams and San Rafael.  After getting instructions volunteers dispersed throughout the neighborhood with their provided supplies to cleanup.
